Charlie is a certified sommelier and a restauranteur, and he owns three much-loved restaurants in the Durham and Chapel Hill area. He got his start in the San Francisco Bay area, after realizing studying math at UC Berkley wasn’t his true calling. He left a successful business behind to move to North Carolina in the early 2000s, and all of us who appreciate incredible food here in the Triangle are much better off because he did.

I am a Georgia girl who spent most of my grown-up life working for politicians in communications and media relations in North Carolina — which has been home for more than 20 years. I’m particularly good at translating complicated information into something regular people can understand — especially if it’s something I find interesting, such as wine!

I’m an artist at heart, though, so a few years ago I decided to start my own business that would allow me to continue my communications work but also get back to my roots in graphic design and photography.  I love documenting the places we go and the things we eat and drink! Together we live in Holly Springs, just south of Raleigh, with our son, Benji, and a fluffy little schnoodle dog.
